InGen
Every diligence finding carries its sources and its review status into the committee paper.

InGen and RevGen inform decisions about investments, customers and money. This page explains how they make their work checkable, where people stay in control, and how deployments are arranged. It applies to both products.
01
Findings cite their sources. A statement in an output links to the document, page, spreadsheet cell or system record it was drawn from, not to a folder.
Calculations keep their workings. Where a figure is derived, the inputs and the formula are stored with it.
Gaps are stated. When no support can be found for a claim, the output says so. Facts, calculations and judgements are labelled as such.
Sources are versioned. If a document is replaced, the findings that relied on it are flagged for re-checking.
Too much revenue from too few customers
02
Review is recorded. Each finding shows who reviewed it, when, and what they changed. Unreviewed material is visibly unreviewed, and that status travels with it into reports.
Actions wait for a person. Analysis runs automatically. Anything that reaches a customer, changes a system of record or marks a finding as final waits for approval by a named person with the authority to give it.
Approval routes are yours. Who approves what is configured to match how your organisation already takes decisions.
Castellan Ports: monitoring proposal
Nothing is sent until a named person approves step 3.
03
Access follows responsibility. Permissions are set by deal, account or business unit, so people see the material they are entitled to see and nothing else.
Requests are authenticated and logged. The log covers what people opened and what the agents did, so the record of a piece of work is complete.
04
Agreed before data is loaded. Where the products run, where documents and data are held, and which models process them are agreed with each client and written down at the outset.
Your environment, where required. Options include deployment within your own cloud or on-premise infrastructure, using open-source or privately hosted models, so that documents and data stay inside infrastructure you control.
Clear terms otherwise. Where a hosted model provider is used, we document which data is sent to it, for what purpose and on what terms.
What we do not claim
InGen and RevGen are built to keep outputs tied to the evidence provided, to show uncertainty instead of hiding it, and to make checking quick. They do not remove the need to check.
That is why the products are organised around review and approval. We would rather show you how to verify an answer than ask you to believe it.
